Quilters  Trading Cards - QTC

How to make Quilters Trading Cards

Allison Ray- Sewing Enthusiast

Quilters Trading Cards (QTC)- the only firm rule for making the cards is the size.  After that you can construct and embellish them any way you like.  I have found the best two ways to make the QTC are the following: Cut a piece of (or several to make multiple cards) fast-2-fuse 3 1/2" X 2 1/2".  With an iron fuse a piece of fabric or collection of fabric to one side of the fast-2-fuse base.  Embellish.  When you are finished making the top of the QTC they you can fuse a fabric to the back.  With your sewing machine zig zag stitch the edges.  Second, cut a piece of quilters batting 3 1/2" wide by how many cards you want to make.  Sew the top of the card as above.  Then finish the back by adding a piece of fabric and hand stitching the edges.

Quilters trading cards are 3 1/2" X 2 1/2" and are made from fabric.  They can be hand sewn or sewn with a machine.
