Special Techniques Christmas Embroidery Design Projects

This collection is just charming!  I love how you can not only embroidery the Christmas designs but it also has added special techniques such as thread velvet and the yarn couching.  I stitched this with my Husqvarna Viking Designer Diamond with my absolute FAVORITE thread called Iris made by YLI.  Both thread and embroidery collection can be purchased by your favorite Husqvarna Viking dealer.

Special Techniques Christmas Embroidered hand towel with the candy cane motif.  This embroidery design used the yarn couching technique on the candy cane bow. *Be sure to use a light weight wash away stabilizer on the top to keep the towel loops from pulling. Very cute!

Special Techniques Christmas embroidered Christmas tree hand towel.

Special Techniques Christmas gingerbread man embroidered onto an little apron.  I used 4D Embroidery Extra software to add the name Maddie.  Since the apron was so tiny it would not fit into the hoop the way I needed it to, so I used Light and Tacky Tear Away stabilizer to hold the apron in place while it was being embroidered.  Came out perfectly!

Special Techniques Christmas little girl embroidery onto a black t shirt.  Used 4D to add the name under the little girl embroidery design.

Snowman Fabric Postcards made from the Special Techniques Christmas Snowman embroidery design.  I brought the design into the 4D Extra program and added "Let it Snow".  I used Iris threads by YLI-Black, Red 1023, Dark Brown 1148, White 1160, Xmas Green 1080 and Orange 1122

Special Techniques Gingerbread Man embroidered onto a hand towel.  A little Swiss dot ribbon was top stitched across the towel band to add just a little extra design. Iris threads by YLI: Dark Brown 1148, Red 1023, Xmas green 1080, White 1160 and Melon 1202.
